Boxcar Poetry Review - Issue 2
With May comes change. This issue brings together poems which explore the moment of transformation, translation, transfiguration, or transgression.
Fire falls from the night sky while voices echo in the dark, a man is haunted by Lorca's ghost, a translator is caught off-guard by a word, and we are taken with them - seduced by the stillness and the violence of the world.
Arthur Westover's photographs offer an interesting counterpoint to the textual music of the poems. And into the mix, we add two new reviews of Richard Siken's Crush and Victoria Chang's Circle from Lindsay Penelope Illich and Mary Chi-Whi Kim respectively.
